Terms of Service

Last updated: April 29, 2026

1. Who We Are

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the services provided by Canvass Research LLC, a California limited liability company (“Canvass Research,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By purchasing or using any Canvass Research service, you (“Client,” “you”) agree to these Terms in full. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

Canvass Research provides independent research and analysis for individuals considering cosmetic procedures in South Korea. We are not a medical provider, healthcare facility, medical tourism agency, consulting firm, or referral service.

2. Our Services

Cosmetic & Beauty Treatment Report. Independent research on non-surgical cosmetic treatments (Botox, fillers, skin rejuvenation, laser treatments, and similar procedures). Covers up to three (3) procedures per report. Includes provider vetting, red flag screening, and pricing context. Delivered within 72 hours of receiving sufficient case information from Client.

Surgeon Intelligence Report ($399; founding offer $249 for the first 10 clients). A structured, evidence-cited research report personalized to your case. Covers one (1) surgical procedure per report. Includes matched surgeon shortlist, deep-source analysis, red flag screening, credential verification, side-by-side comparison, and questions to ask your surgeon. Delivered within 72 hours of receiving sufficient information from Client via the research questionnaire.

No consultation services. Canvass Research is a research company. We do not provide consultations, debriefs, ongoing advisory sessions, or back-and-forth guidance on medical decisions. Our deliverable is a research report — not a consulting relationship.

We reserve the right to modify service descriptions and pricing. Any changes apply only to future purchases and do not affect services already contracted.

3. What We Do — and What We Don’t

We provide: Independent research and data analysis drawn from medical journals, Korean and English-language review platforms, professional registries, credential databases, published medical research, and firsthand accounts. Our research process uses artificial intelligence (AI) analysis tools and human research oversight. AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. By using our services, you acknowledge and assume any risk associated with AI-generated or AI-assisted content.

We do not provide: Medical advice, diagnoses, treatment recommendations, referrals, or consultations. We do not practice medicine. We do not recommend specific surgeons, clinics, or procedures. We do not guarantee any medical or surgical outcome.

No photos.Canvass Research does not accept or solicit photographs of any kind from clients — including selfies, reference images, or inspiration photos. Clients describe aesthetic goals in writing only.

Your decision to undergo a procedure, select a provider, or travel to South Korea is entirely your own. You should consult with a qualified physician before making any medical decisions.

4. Independence and Compensation

Canvass Research is paid exclusively by clients. We do not accept referral fees, commissions, kickbacks, or sponsored placements from any surgeon, clinic, hospital, or third party. No clinic can buy placement or favorable treatment in our reports. This policy is detailed in our published Transparency Charter.

5. Client Responsibilities

By using our services, you agree that:

You will provide accurate and complete information in your research questionnaire and any communications with Canvass Research. Inaccurate information may affect the quality and relevance of our research.

You are solely responsible for your own medical decisions, including the decision to undergo any procedure, the selection of a surgeon or clinic, and any travel arrangements.

You will consult with a qualified physician regarding any medical decisions. Canvass Research’s reports and services are not a substitute for professional medical advice.

You will not redistribute, resell, or publicly share the contents of your report without Canvass Research’s written permission. Reports are prepared exclusively for the purchasing client’s personal use.

6. Cross-Border Acknowledgment

You acknowledge and agree that medical providers in South Korea operate under South Korean law, not United States law. Legal recourse against foreign medical providers may be limited, difficult, expensive, or impossible to pursue from the United States. If you are dissatisfied with the care you receive from any provider, your recourse is with that provider, not with Canvass Research. For full cross-border terms, see the Client Service Agreement.

7. Payment and Refunds

Payment is due in full before work begins. We accept payment methods as listed at the time of purchase.

Refund policy: If you request a cancellation before research has begun, you will receive a full refund. Once research has commenced, refunds are not available because the research process cannot be undone. If we are unable to deliver the agreed service for any reason within our control, we will issue a full refund.

Revision guarantee:If your report does not meet the deliverables outlined in your service tier, contact us within fourteen (14) days of delivery and we will revise it at no additional cost until it meets those standards. The revision guarantee applies to stated deliverables — not to subjective satisfaction, personal preferences, or the content of research findings. Canvass Research does not offer refunds on delivered reports.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by California law:

Liability cap. Canvass Research’s total liability to you for any and all claims arising from or related to these Terms or our services shall not exceed the amount you paid Canvass Research for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

Damages disclaimer. Under no circumstances will Canvass Research LLC, its members, managers, employees, contractors, or agents be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any other type of damages, resulting from your use of our services, even if Canvass Research has been advised of the possibility of such damages. This includes, but is not limited to, damages arising from: (a) surgical outcomes, complications, or any medical or cosmetic outcome; (b) medical decisions you make based on or informed by our research; (c) the acts, omissions, negligence, malpractice, or misconduct of any third-party provider; (d) travel incidents, expenses, or delays; (e) emotional distress or psychological harm; (f) lost income or lost opportunity; (g) costs of additional treatment or revision procedures; (h) errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in our reports, including those resulting from AI-generated content or outdated sources; (i) our negligence or things beyond our control; (j) any other damages arising from your use of our services.

Our reports reflect research conducted at a specific point in time using available sources. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or currency of any third-party information included in our reports. Source information can change, and we have no obligation to update reports after delivery.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

All information, research, analysis, and materials provided or made available through Canvass Research’s services are provided “as is” and “as available.” Canvass Research hereby disclaims all representations, warranties, and conditions, express or implied, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, reliability, timeliness, or quality.

We do not warrant that: (a) our research will meet your expectations; (b) any provider identified in a report will be suitable for your needs; (c) any particular medical, surgical, or cosmetic outcome will result from your use of our services; (d) our reports will be free of errors or omissions; (e) the information in our reports will remain accurate or current after delivery; or (f) our services will be uninterrupted or error-free.

The arbitration shall be conducted by a single arbitrator. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction.

Class action waiver. You and Canvass Research agree that each party may bring claims against the other only in your or its individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, consolidated, or representative proceeding.

Small claims exception. Either party may bring an individual action in small claims court in Los Angeles County, California, provided the claim falls within the court’s jurisdictional limits.

Opt-out right. You may opt out of this arbitration and class action waiver provision by sending written notice to info@canvassresearch.com within thirty (30) days of your first purchase with the subject line “Arbitration Opt-Out.” If you opt out, disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.

13. Privacy

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using our services, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.

14. Modifications to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active clients via email. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement and Hierarchy

These Terms, together with the Client Service Agreement, Privacy Policy, Medical Disclaimer, and any service-specific addendum, constitute the entire agreement between you and Canvass Research regarding the subject matter herein.

In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the Client Service Agreement, the Client Service Agreement governs.
